This policy explains how the Canadian Association for Artificial Intelligence and Future Studies (AAIFS), a registered non-profit society, collects and uses personal information on aaifs.org. It is a general summary; contact us with any question.

- Account information if you register as a member (username, email and profile details).
- Payment information is handled by our payment provider (PayPal); AAIFS does not store full card numbers.
- Basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through server logs and cookies needed for the site to work (for example, login cookies).
How we use it
- To process memberships, applications, registrations and payments.
- To issue membership and participation certificates.
- To send service messages and conference announcements related to your membership or participation.
- To keep the website secure and to improve its content.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate the site and process payments, with conference organizers when you register for or submit to an AAIFS-sponsored conference, or when the law requires it.
Retention and your choices
We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop receiving emails, by writing to admin@aaifs.org.
