I am a graduate researcher, information technology professional, entrepreneur, and technology innovator with interests spanning environmental science, information technology, digital communication, and sustainable development. My work focuses on exploring how emerging and accessible technologies can be applied to real-world problems and translated into practical solutions for individuals, organizations and communities.
My graduate research focuses on the development and evaluation of the Techno-Sustainability Framework (TSF)(https://tsftoday.com), which brings together environmental science and information technology to support environmental monitoring and sustainable decision-making. My research explores the use of the Internet of Things (IoT), low-cost environmental sensors, wireless communication, real-time data collection, data analytics, and digital communication platforms for air-quality monitoring. I am particularly interested in moving environmental monitoring beyond data collection by examining how real-time environmental information can improve public awareness, influence human decision-making, and support more sustainable responses to environmental conditions.
Through the development and real-world deployment of TSF, my work investigates practical approaches to collecting, processing, communicating, and using air-quality information. This includes the integration of environmental sensing, IoT communication, web-based information systems, and mobile communication technologies to make environmental information more accessible to both communities and decision-makers. My broader research interests include environmental informatics, smart and sustainable communities, IoT-based environmental monitoring, air pollution, data-driven decision support, human interaction with environmental information, and the role of technology in sustainable development.
Alongside my academic research, I am the founder of iTBest (https://itbest.ca), an information technology company through which I develop and support practical technology solutions and IT services. My professional technology work complements my research by providing experience in designing, implementing, managing, and evaluating information systems in real-world environments.
I am also the creator of iCoL (https://icol.app), a digital communication platform developed to make international calling more accessible and affordable. The development of iCoL reflects my broader interest in designing technology around real human needs and using digital systems to reduce barriers to communication and connectivity.
Although TSF, iTBest, and iCoL operate in different areas, they are connected by a common principle that guides my work, technology should move beyond technical capability and create practical value. Whether applied to environmental monitoring, organizational information technology, or global communication, I am interested in solutions that are accessible, reliable, scalable, and responsive to the needs of the people who use them.
My long-term research and professional interests are centered on the intersection of environmental sustainability, information technology, IoT, data analytics, digital communication, and human decision-making. I aim to continue combining academic research with practical technology development to create systems that contribute to better environmental decisions, stronger communities, improved connectivity, and sustainable technological development.
